Problem & Solutions

Hema was unhappy with her overlapped & stained teeth that made her look older than she felt.  She wanted a natural looking smile that made her look younger.  She had always put herself last and felt it was finally time to do something special for her self.  She rarely showed her teeth when smiling in pictures.

Dr. Patel straightened her teeth and gave her a younger & whiter smile with 16 porcelain restorations.  He also gently re-contoured her gums to achieve that radiant smile.

Testimonial

“I smile so much more than I did before and get so many compliments on my smile!”

For health. For beauty. For you.

  1. What’s the difference between having my teeth professionally whitened and using a kit I can buy in a store?

It’s to your advantage to have it done professionally:

    • Your dentist will use professional-strength whitening gel, which is stronger and more effective than the gels in over-the-counter kits

    • You’ll have the option of doing it in-office or at home

    • If it’s done in-office, one visit is all that’s needed, and immediately your teeth are dramatically whiter

    • If it’s done by you at home, you’ll have custom-made trays, instead of the generic, store-bought trays that may or may not fit your teeth

    • Also if you do it at home under your dentist’s supervision, you’ll have the professional-strength whitening gel

  2. How long will my teeth remain whiter after I’ve had the treatment?

If you practice good dental hygiene, the results can last a long time. But life happens, and gradually, especially if the teeth are exposed to staining agents such as red white, tobacco, caffeine and certain prescription drugs, they may darken or discolor. You can have periodic touch-up treatments to keep your smile looking its best.

  3. I’m getting married next year and I want my smile to dazzle. When should I start whitening my teeth?

ZoomWith ZOOM! tooth whitening, you can have your smile whitened 8 shades lighter in just a couple hours.  Not only can ZOOM! wipe away years of staining, but the results of ZOOM! tooth whitening last longer than traditional methods of tooth whitening.

You can begin any time, as long as you allow 2 or 3 weeks for the daily whitening time, plus some time for touch-up in case they whiten irregularly. Dr. Patel can also tell you about other procedures that can help enhance your smile for your wedding day.

  4. Is teeth whitening safe?

When done by an experienced cosmetic dentist like Dr. Patel, the procedure is quite safe.

    • To avoid possible irritation, Dr. Patel uses a barrier to keep the whitening agents from touching any of your mouth’s soft tissues

    • The laser used for the in-office whitening procedure is a cool, ultraviolet one, which poses no danger of burns

    • The whitening gel won’t hurt your tooth enamel at all
